Terms, content rules & consent

Adults only. You must be at least 18 years old to register, watch, upload, go live or chat on Vidaake. By registering you confirm your date of birth is true.

Content rules. Videos are published straight away. Mature content (strong language, violence, nightlife, etc.) is allowed with a content warning, which the uploader or an admin can add. Nudity, sexual acts, sexually explicit material and sexual services are not allowed, warning or not, and are deleted when reported. Videos that get several reports, or a report that someone may be under 18, are hidden until an admin reviews them. Breaking these rules gets content deleted and accounts banned.

Original content only. You may only upload videos that are your own original work – filmed or created by you. Re-uploading another creator’s video, or content copied from other websites or apps, gets your account banned automatically, your videos removed and your unpaid earnings withheld. Videos already on Vidaake are fingerprinted, so re-uploads are detected the moment they’re uploaded.

Consent of everyone shown. You may only upload or stream content in which every person is 18 or older and has agreed to being filmed and to the content being published and sold here. Content involving anyone under 18 is removed, the account banned and reported to the authorities.

Tokens. 1 token = KSh 1. Visitors outside Kenya see prices converted to US dollars. Tokens are bought through Paystack (M-PESA or card) and used to unlock premium videos and paid live streams on Vidaake. Tokens have no cash value for buyers, cannot be transferred, and are non-refundable once spent. New members get a free welcome bonus (currently 200 tokens) for viewing content: it’s spent before bought tokens, can’t be withdrawn or transferred, and unlocks bought with it don’t pay the creator.

Free members & verified creators. Everyone joins as a free member and can post free videos and posts (thoughts and stories). To post premium videos, run paid live streams or earn from views, creators pay a one-off, non-refundable verification fee (currently KSh 200) and get a verified badge. Verified creators earn 70% of the tokens spent on their premium videos and paid live streams (Vidaake keeps 30%) and a set amount per 1,000 unique logged-in views of their free videos. Payout details are saved at verification: in Kenya, the M-PESA number that paid the fee. Earnings become available 7 days after they’re earned and are paid weekly, once a creator has at least KSh 4,500 available (one request per week). Earnings are only paid to those details, and changing them requires an admin. Fake views, fake accounts or self-viewing cancel earnings and may get the account banned. We may withhold earnings from content that breaks these rules.

Referrals. Members earn a referral reward (currently KSh 50) for each new member who joins with their link and becomes active by buying tokens. Rewards are added to withdrawable earnings. Self-referrals, fake accounts or other abuse cancel the rewards and may get the account banned.

Conduct. No harassment, threats, spam, or sharing other people’s private information in chat or live streams. Do not re-upload or redistribute videos you unlocked.

Reporting. Use the “Report” button on any video. We review every report.

Your data. We store your account details, purchases, earnings and messages to run the service. Card and M-PESA details are handled by Paystack, not stored by us. You can ask an admin to delete your account.
